Welcome to Ordinary Community Church

a collection of house churches in Cincinnati

The best way to reach us is to email Chris Marshall at cmarsh01@fuse.net. Let us know if we can help in any way or if you have questions. All are welcome.

Our central values are community, authenticity, passion and mission. Our context is largely the north suburbs of Cincinnati and we seek for God’s Kingdom to “come on earth as it is in heaven.” If you would like more information or want to come to one of our gatherings, feel free to contact us.

We intentionally have no paid staff and no building to maintain. Rather we meet in homes and give away 100% of our community resources to missional needs. We do not have a set of programs, rather the program is our ordinary lives.
We resonate strongly with St. Paul in 2 Corinthians 4,
“If you only look at us, you might well miss the brightness. We carry this precious Message around in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary lives. That’s to prevent anyone from confusing God’s incomparable power with us. As it is, there’s not much chance of that. You know for yourselves that we’re not much to look at. We’ve been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we’re not demoralized; we’re not sure what to do, but we know that God knows what to do; we’ve been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn’t left our side; we’ve been thrown down, but we haven’t broken.”

We are a collection of house churches in Cincinnati, Ohio that are seeking to live out an old faith in a new world. Our house churches meet weekly and are informal and open gatherings of people seeking to learn more about the Kingdom of God as taught in the Scriptures. We have been journeying together since 2001 and we look forward to more chapters of the story God is writing amongst us.
